Mid Antrim Motor Club Trial this Saturday
GLOBAL OIL AUTUMN TRIAL
The Off Road section of the Mid Antrim Motor Club will be promoting their Autumn Open Trial, on Saturday 13th September 2014 starting at 11-30am. The event will be open to all grades.
We are delighted to announce that we have a new sponsor for the event – GLOBAL OIL NI Ltd
Mr. Raymond Campbell of Global Oil has been a long time member and supporter of Mid Antrim Motor Club and we are delighted that he has decided to add his companies support to our Autumn Trophy Trial. Global Oil are supplying a new perpetual trophy with a replica, event prize money and Global Oil products for all competitors. The club are deeply indebted to Raymond and Global Oil for this endorsement of our club activities and promotions.
The event, which will now be known as the Global Oil Autumn Trophy Trial, will be run for the second time at Upper Shilnavogy, near our existing venue at Shilnavogy Hill . Clerk of the Course Willie Dickey and his team of section markers have been working hard over the summer months and with the cooperation of the land owner have opened up even more exciting new sections at this great venue. The route to the venue will be signposted from Broughshane and for those with these modern gizmo’s the details are all on the website.
The club sections markers will be making sections to suit all abilities and so are hoping for good support from all local riders to dust down their trials bikes and come out and support the event. The changes made in the grading for this year have meant that Grade D/Sportsman really is for the competitor who just wants to ride his bike in a fun environment with simple sections ideal for novice riders and those who only ride occasionally. One day licences are available at the event so there are no excuses for getting the bike out of the garage and having a fun day out.
This will be the third round of the 2014 Michelin Mid Antrim Club Trials Series. The changes the club made to the regulations for this year’s series in line with the changes made within the sport by the MCUI Trials committee appear to be paying off as we have a TY Yamaha leading the series and a twin shock machine in third place. Current standings are 1st S.Cromie on 37 points, 2nd S.McClurg on 23 points and 3rd S.Murphy on 20 points but all still to play for at this halfway stage in the series.
Event regulations & Entry form can be down loaded from our new website WWW.mamc-bikes.co.uk
It really helps the event secretary if you can enter prior to the event and reduces the queues on the morning so if you can E mail your entries to Laura it would be a great help.
