Well folks fast approaching is the last round of our ‘Winter Series’ which is to be held at Mountfield, Omagh on Saturday 13 of June 2015!
This is another new venue for trials in Northern Ireland and will give our series 5 different venues around different parts of the north.
The club committee went up to check the venue out in January but we had a foot of snow to contend with so no pictures to put up at this stage but the club is very well experienced and more than happy that this venue will deliver for our competitors.
Its a great mixture of very ride-able stream making its way up the valley into the mountain and a small quarry that will give us a nice variation. Mountfield will give our riders a chance to ride in a river based trial which will be good experience for entrants.
We will have our youth course for A & B and a course for C,D &E that will use some of their own sections and some of the adult course giving a great ride round.
We will also have our ‘try trials’ were family’s can come along and try the clubs electric bike to see if our sport is for them.
We will also have an E2 area which provides a small course for the beginner adult or youth rider, a chance to ride between the gate section markers and get some tips on how to manage a trials bike.
Hot food Van will be present and all efforts will be made to have a toilet on site.
We would ask all riders to get to the venue for ‘sign on’ by 9.30am at the latest in order to give our team a chance to process ‘cards’ to everyone. We also ask all observers to be at their section by 10.45am, all of us understand the event can’t run without observers and if any rider can bring an observer there is a free entry. We cannot open the course until all sections are manned so the club would very much appreciate your help with this. We will post information on the running order nearer the time and make this clear at the start area.
The club would like to thank Robert Nixon who rides in our events for making this excellent trial venue available to our club!
