On Monday 22nd February at 7:30pm there will be an open meeting at room 2 in Ards Leisure Centre, William Street, Newtownards.
The purpose of the meeting is to give an up to date report on the opening of the trials area at the Leadmines, and this meeting is open to all.
The room has capacity for around 40 people so try and get there early for a seat. There will be tea/ coffee and refreshments available. Representatives from Ards and North Down Council and Moto Trial NI will be there to introduce themselves and explain what has been done to date and what is going to happen to take matters forward to enhance use of the Leadmines.
Among the topics that will be discussed and expanded on are;
Opening days and timings. How access will happen, opening/ closing of gates etc.
Membership details, what you get for your fee and what the council and the club expect from you in return.
Fees for daily use.
Rules, code of conduct and sanctions.
A break down of the area to show where is suitable for use, where should not be used and other matters of note.
A vision of what we hope will be the progression of the venue and how we see it benefiting ALL trials riders of ALL abilities.
There will also be a chance for you to put any questions that you have to the council and Moto Trial NI, and to put forward any ideas you may have that you feel will benefit those using the Leadmines. Remember, this is about making this project work. This is the ONLY OFFICIAL trials practice area in this country, indeed one of only a few in the UK, and we have a opportunity to make this something to be looked at as a bench mark for others. We (Ards and North Down Council and Moto Trial NI) fought long and hard to make this happen, so lets all work together to push on from here.
